Enrollment Policies
At North Star Jazz Workshops, we want every student to feel supported and set up for success. These policies help us keep things running smoothly for our teachers, our ensembles, and our community of musicians.
Tuition is billed on the first of each month, and all students are strongly encouraged to enroll in automatic monthly payments. Students who choose not to use autopay will be charged a 7% administrative fee.
Payments not received within a 7-day grace period will be subject to a $10 late fee, and returned or failed payments may result in additional processing fees.
Withdrawing from an ensemble requires a minimum of 30 days written notice.
For courses (for example: Foundations, Guitar, Piano, or Drums), withdrawals made more than 30 days before the start date will receive a 50% refund of the deposit. Withdrawals made within 30 days of the start date will forfeit the first month's deposit. Once a course has begun, tuition for the remainder of that session is non-refundable.
As a general rule, we do not offer refunds for missed ensemble classes. However, if you experience a medical emergency, illness, or other significant circumstance, please reach out to us to discuss options. We try our best to offer sit-in options in other ensembles when rehearsals are missed.
North Star Jazz Workshops is built on respect, commitment, and collaboration. We reserve the right to discontinue enrollment for students who miss multiple sessions without notice or create an unsafe learning environment for peers or instructors.
